Ximena Cantuarias serves as Senior Vice President of Scripted Production at Telemundo Studios. In this role, she is responsible for leading long-form scripted production across Latin America and joint production opportunities for the studios. Cantuarias is a seasoned media and entertainment industry executive with almost 30 years of experience in creative and business operations.
Cantuarias first joined Telemundo in 2001, where she spent eight years working in production management and human resources at Telemundo Network Group. After a move to TV Azteca and Sony Pictures Entertainment, she returned to the network in 2017 as the Vice President of Production Operations and Executive Producer at Telemundo International Studios. Cantuarias has been an instrumental part of production on hit series for the network, including La Reina del Sur, Buscando a Frida and El Señor de los Cielos
Cantuarias earned her bachelor’s degree in Communications from the “Universidad Femenina del Sagrado Corazon” in Lima, Peru. She received an International Emmy Award in 2022 and a Latin Grammy nomination in 2009 both as an Executive Producer.
