Olimpia Del Boccio serves as VP of Marketing, Press & Promotions for NBCUniversal Global Distribution, leading distribution marketing and promotion efforts for Telemundo worldwide, and for NBCUniversal properties within the Latin American region.
Del Boccio’s responsibilities include leading the commercialization of Telemundo’s scripted series content, produced by Telemundo Global Studios and Telemundo Streaming Studios, and Telemundo’s entertainment and news shows, for international sales and promotion, including international trade presence in markets and awards, and support for International Telemundo Pay TV Channels, in Latin America and Africa. Del Boccio began to head Telemundo’s international marketing, promotions, and press efforts for content distribution in 2012. Prior to this Del Boccio served as Communications Manager for ALMA DDB, the Miami based award winning creative agency, expanding and developing new internal and external communications, and managing strategies for accounts such as State Farm.
She was awarded an Emmy during her tenure as Content Manager Producer for Mega TV where she lead the production of entertainment and pop-culture news shows, documentaries, and music specials. Previously, on the journalistic side, Del Boccio served as Editor for trade media outlets Produ, Television Latin America – Cahners – a Reed Business Information Magazine, and was also Online Content Editor for UOL – Universo Online.
Del Boccio is recognized for serving as one of the founding members of Círculo Creativo del Mercado Latino de Estados Unidos, the creative group that brings together US Hispanic Market advertising professionals.
The early stages of her career initiated in her native Venezuela at Radio Caracas Television (RCTV), where she developed her skills in creative production for several prime time shows focused on news and public opinion.
