Migdalis Silva

Migdalys Silva is the VP Brand Head for Nickelodeon Latin America. She joined PARAMOUNT, in October 1997 as a Programming Coordinator and over the course of 25 years she has grown with the company and now oversees the Kids & Family division across 29 countries, reaching +98 million subscribers for Nickelodeon & Nick Jr. brands in Latin America; Silva leads cross-functional efforts between linear, streaming, marketing, digital, consumer products and program sales groups to maximize the value of both brands content across Latin America in all platforms. Silva also leads and implements the local strategy for all acquisitions and content partnerships across the entire Nickelodeon portfolio of channels, across all linear and nonlinear platforms. Responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing all strategic content partnerships for Nickelodeon platforms locally, Silva cultivates new and existing partnerships with content distributors, producers, and creators from around the world, while expanding the partnerships and aligning opportunities across the other lines of business within Paramount.

Silva has been working in the industry since 1986, and has built a strong reputation as a TV Producer and Programming scheduler, she worked in Venezolana Television, Omnivision Multicanal and Corpa Publicidad in Caracas Venezuela from 1986 to 1994; In 1995 she move to the United States and work at Gamma Communications in Miami Florida from 1995 to 1997 as of Programming Manager and Producer for the Children’s Channel PANDA CLUB, creating programming schedules and developing channel-programming strategy jointly with the Spain office, produce and post-produce all On Air content promotions.
Silva is a 1985 graduate of the Instituto Universitario de Nueva Profesiones (Caracas, Venezuela) where she earned a degree in Advertising, Communications & Marketing and a master’s degree in television & Broadcasting. Silva also is a certified Venezuelan Broadcasting Radio and TV host.
