Mauricio Leiva Cock

Graduate of the MFA in film from Columbia University. His work has participated in festivals and labs worldwide including Berlin, Toronto, Annecy, Palm Springs, Tribeca, the Gotham, among others. He is creator and showrunner of La Cabeza de Joaquín Murrieta (Prime Video) and Ruido Capital (Movistar), which won the Best International Series Award at IndieSeries Awards, co-creator of Green Frontier (Netflix), head writer of the International Emmy winning Falco (Dynamo), story editor and writer of Wild District (Netflix) and consulting producer and writer of Echo 3 (AppleTV+). His adaptation of the Turkish cult novel by Murat Mentes, Double’s Dilemma, won the prestigious Content London pitch. His award-winning feature debut, The Night of the Beast, has screened in over sixty film festivals worldwide including TIFF Next Wave, Guadalajara, Transylvania, Cleveland and Stockholm and has been distributed in over twenty countries. He has been script consultant on various feature projects, including Disney’s Oscar winner Encanto and the Cannes award winning film The Golden Cage. Mauricio was named one of the fifty leaders of Iberoamerican fiction by TTV and currently holds an overall deal with Amazon.
