Clara Machado

Clara Machado, a native of Caracas, Venezuela, pursued her passion for storytelling and client relations after studying art history at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. Her journey began as a founder of Next, an advertising agency in Venezuela, where she served as an account director for three years. Subsequently, Clara took on the role of leading the Ama-Gi project, aimed at popularizing fiction as a tool for fostering critical thinking. She also played a pivotal role as a founding member of CIMA, a customer care and service company. These experiences solidified her desire to work within a company that focused on client relations, storytelling, and production. In 2020, Clara joined the Endemol Shine Boomdog team as a Junior Manager. During her tenure with the production company, she has been involved in various projects, including “Todo Por Lucy” and the sale and production of “Volver a Caer,” a reimagined Ana Karenina story. “Volver a Caer” was a collaboration with Cholawood Productions and Kate del Castillo, as part of an overall development deal with Endemol Shine Boomodog.

Currently, Machado serves as the director of unscripted development and operations where she spearheads the sales slates to bring various formats to life for each client. She excels at managing the relationship between production and the corporate team, overseeing an impressive portfolio of approximately 25 projects annually, including the recently announced “Como Agua Para Chocolate.”

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Clara is deeply passionate about leading the internal diversity and inclusion initiative, Belong. Her dedication to promoting inclusivity at Endemol Shine Boomdog and Banijay reflects her commitment to creating a more inclusive workplace. Currently Clara resides in Mexico City with her partner and two children.Clara takes pride in being a devoted mother and actively encourages other mothers to pursue their dreams and careers.
