Carmen Larios is Senior Vice President of Content, responsible for the editorial strategy and content of the A&E and Lifetime brands on their different platforms. She is the head of the On-Air, Marketing, Programming and Production teams based in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, and Miami.
Larios joined the A+E team in 2019 as leader of both channels after leading National Geographic Channels’ content strategy for 10 years in Miami. Responsible for programming, development and production of Nat Geo, Nat Geo Wild and Nat Geo Kids brands, she led the team to receive 5 nominations and an International Emmy.
Carmen was part of Discovery Networks Latin America management from 1999 to 2007 based in Mexico City and Miami, where she held different positions related to programming, acquisition and production of the Discovery Channel, Home & Health, and Discovery Kids brands.
She began her career in broadcast television in Mexico at TV Azteca where she worked as manager of acquisitions and production development. She graduated from Universidad Anahuac with a degree in Communication ,91-95 and has postgraduate studies in Communication and Peace at the European Peace University in Burgenland, Austria.
Carmen is member of the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences as well as the Worldwide Audiovisual Women´s Association.
Carmen speaks Spanish, English, French and Portuguese. She is married and living in Mexico City with her teenage son Mateo as her husband Emilio Aliaga, her oldest son currently lives in college in Florida.
