Agustin Sacanell is a founding partner and responsible for the creative strategy of Kapow, one of the most relevant production’s Company in Argentina.
He started his professional career at P&P, after Endemol Argentina, developing entertainment projects. In 2001, he took the role of executive producer in Play House Disney for RGB and years later, he was part of the production team at Cris Morena’s Group, specializing himself in creative and commercial management of fiction TV and specials.
Kapow and its productions have been featured by several regional and international news outlets and multi-media networks. The most notable tv shows include “The President,” ahighly anticipated Amazon Original series that brings the story of the 2015 “FIFA Gate” corruption scandal to light, and “Argentine Cooks,” a widely-popular cooking show for free TV which has been produced for over the last 12 years. Kapow also produces drama, comedy and thriller as well as unscripted formats, for platforms like HBO max, Amazon, Star+, Disney+, Nat Geo or Netflix.
As responsible of Kapow, he achieved several agreements with relevant companies like Gaumont or Fremantle among others, positioning the Company internationally and winning several awards both nationally and internationally in series and entertainment formats such as “Premio Tato” for best magazine in free TV or “Rockie awards” for “The President” as best comedy in foreign language as well as nominations in premios Martin Fierro and the international Emmy awards.
Agustin has become an important benchmark in the audiovisual environment. He has been elected by his colleagues as President of the audiovisual cluster of the city of Buenos Aires for 2 consecutive periods, promoting the local industry and talent all over the world. He has a degree in Audiovisual production and direction at TEA Imagen and has attended many trainings and updates on media management, new media and content trends.
He is married and has three children. He loves to travel with his family and sharing asados with his longtime friends every week.
